Should You Buy The Samsung D900i?
The Samsung SGH-D900i Mobile Phone is almost the same as the extremely popular D900 sliding phone, however it has an FM radio which the D900 didn’t have. It also features a 3MP digital camera with built in flash, and an MP3 player.
The D900i looks amazing, even if it is the same as an older phone, Samsung have always been very good at designing phones, and this one is no different.
Until recently the D900i was the slimmest sliding style phone, however the Samsung U600 is now thinner! Samsung has always been good at sliding phones, and the action on this slide is great. What’s more, this phone uses real buttons.
While phones that use touch sensitive buttons may look good, a real button is a lot more effective! The D900i is just 13mm thick, which means that it’s even thinner than the Motorola RAZR!
The built in 3 mega pixel camera features a flash and auto focus feature. It’s considered as one of the best camera phones currently available. The display is also second to none and makes using the camera a real joy. You can also view the videos in full screen mode; just press the 1 button to put it into full screen mode.
The MP3 player supports the common formats, including MP3, ACC+, ACC; it uses a sophisticated 3D virtual surround sound system and digital amplifier to dramatically improve the sound during playback. It’s also very simple to use the player and you can create a play list of up to 30 tracks. It’s also possible to listen to music wirelessly using a Bluetooth headset. The phone has 70MB of internal memory, which is no where near enough if you plan on using it as an MP3 player, fortunately you can upgrade this easily using MicroSD cards.
The Samsung D900i also comes with all of the normal features that you would expect from a phone, including messaging, email, speakerphone, games, and of course the ability to make phone calls! There are also a few features that are great and you wouldn’t expect, including a document viewer that can open Microsoft office files. There is also a TV out connector that is a great way to display your photos on your TV.
